Hiwave with successful 2009Hiwave, founded 2005 as the first system house for Proximity Marketing and Short Range Wireless solutions in D/A/CH, realises first profits in 2009 and closes the business year successfully despite the world-wide financial crises. Hiwave's managing director Lenkewitz: "For the Proximity Marketing industry in D/A/CH, 2010 will be the year of networks. Digital Signage networks will be combined with Proximity Marketing. Hiwave develops Blue Ticket Alert application for o2Visitors of Berlin's o2 World, and customers at o2 shops can send their preferences according to the events at o2 World direct from their mobile phone soon. In return, they get instant alerts about available tickets. In order to do so, Hiwave developed an innovative mobile application for o2, in which users fill in their data voluntarily and send their interests about sport and music events to o2. The application can be downloaded via Bluetooth, while the user's wishes can be sent from everywhere via SMS. o2 uses the application to learn more about their customers. With the Blue Ticket Alert application, Hiwave strengthens their portfolio for direct marketing solutions towards mobile CRM.

Mobile Bluetooth links for aid organisation Pro JuventuteSwiss aid organisation Pro Juventute used mobile Hiwave Bluetooth transmitters at two events. Participants downloaded links to mobile web-sites for free. For more than 100 years, Pro Juventute is engaged in child protection, and advises parents, teachers, educators, and institutions in the field of education, health, and struggle against poverty. Both projects were deployd in cooperation with our Austrian partner smartmachine.

Hiwave increases traffic at T-Mobile web-siteT-Mobile advertises on 60 city light posters at bus stops of Wall AG in Berlin and Dortmund, which are equipped with Hiwave's bluetooth transmitters, to promote Shazam, a new music recognition application. HTML files, wallpapers, and MP3 songs are offered for free Bluetooth download. With Hiwave's new tracking solution hiTrack.net, not only the number of downloads, and the acceptance ratio, but moreover, also the conversions of the Bluetooth ads are measured. By tracking these numbers, the advertiser collects detailled informationen about the open-rate, and the web-site visits including day, time, location, and device model.

Exclusive a-ha videos @ o2 WorldFrom 26th of October, fans of Norwegian pop band a-ha can download exclusive free Bluetooth videos containing interviews and concert snippets, at o2 World Berlin. The band of idolised singer Morten Harket is on their good-bye tour. The gig at o2 World is the last chance for Berlins fans see to the Scandinavic trio perform classics "Take on me", "Hunting High And Low", or "Stay On These Roads" before the band's split-up.

ProSieben advertises TV series with Bluetooth and TouchscreenProSiebenSat.1 Group is the second largest broadcasting group in Europe. Core channel ProSieben promotes the new daily series "Kill your Darling" during 6 weeks at tram line stops and bus stops in Berlin. Beside Hiwave's Bluetooth transmitters, Wall AG's City light displays also contain touchscreen displays that play the commercial if touched. Via Bluetooth, passer-bys can download the daily webisode for free to the cell-phone.

T-City Friedrichshafen celebrates with Bluetooth and Wi-FiFriedrichshafen is also known as T-City. The project is a collaboration of the City of Friedrichshafen and Deutsche Telekom AG. The town located near Bodensee had won a competition against 51 participants, and was crowned T-City by February 2007. Themed "T-City Friedrichshafen. We live the future“, in a world-wide unique cooperation, both partners are committed to making the world of tomorrow a place of living by the help of state-of-the-art information and communication technology. Within a few months, Deutsche Telekom has equipped Friedrichshafen with modern broadband-infrastructure in mobile cellular phone network and fixed-network.
For T-City, Hiwave realised a complex lottery mechanism based on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, that premiered at T-City BeatNight at the Club Metropol. A MATCHING scenario takes place, in which in each case two club visitors download a voucher DOUBLETTE, and together are allowed to get a free drink. Furthermore, based on a Wi-Fi application, a local lottery for iPhone and Blackberry users is deployed, in which the participants can win a free internet plan, or a cell phone by Samsung. Hiwave did the graphic design, software development, and hardware deployment and configuration.

Rock bands on tour with Bluetooth HiSpotsRock bands Opeth and Madina Lake are touring mit Bluetooth HiSpots throughout Germany. The Swedish band Opeth comes with progressive rock and death metal sounds; Madina Lake from Chicago are positioned between post-hardcore and pop-punk. During their concerts at the merchandising booth, fans can download music and wallpapers from Bluetooth HiSpots for free.

Hiwave wins Deutsche Telekom AGHiwave delivers short range wireless solutions for out-of-home advertising to Deutsche Telekom AG Out-of-Home Media. Hiwave won the pitch against a competitor who calls himself developer of the 'world's first Bluetooth cellphone hotspot'. Deutsche Telekom has received high level of attention for it's market entry in the out-of-home advertising branche. Electronic advertising media like interactive City Light Displays (ICLD) will be rolled out during the upcoming years in public places like international airports.

Like in Berlin's o2 World, and many other deployments, Hiwave's PULL method is deployed in this case: Users send the company's name as keyword to the HiSpot to receive the desired mobile content. Bluetooth solution for McKinsey's BlackberriesFor the first time, Hiwave developed a Blackberry-compatible Proximity marketing solution for McKinsey&Company, the world's leading top-management consultancy. At "McKinsey Summer Academy" in Frankfurt, a top class recruitment event, Hiwave deployes a ZModem-based Proximity solution for Bluetooth marketing. Electronic Arts promotes 'Sims' at gamescom CologneEA (Electronic Arts), world's biggest publisher of computer games, deployes a large Bluetooth promotion of 'Sims 3', 'Command and Conquer 4', and 'Monopoly World' at gamescom exhibition in Cologne. Nouvelle Vague swings with Bluetooth on German tourFrench pop band Nouvelle Vague have made their mark by covered punk and rock classics, performed in a folk and easy listening style. Mercedes "Zeitreise der Innovationen" with BluetoothFrom April 2009 to October 2010, the touring exhibition „Zeitreise der Innovationen“ of Mercedes-Benz Classic (Daimler AG) takes place in ECE shopping centers throughout Germany. ambermedia, Scoorilla, and Nussbaum Medien with Bluetooth and QR codesAt Stuttgart's advertising and marketing exhibition MediaBudget, three agencies presented Hiwave's Bluetooth solutions. Media publisher Nussbaum offered entertainment content to the visitors. Guerilla marketing specialists ambermedia and Scoorilla topped their Bluetooth solution with an additional QR code application: By taking a picture of a printed code, visitors were taken to a designated mobile web-site designed by Hiwave, to download the agencies' reference videos.

mobile vision & IWK: Lectures via Bluetooth downloadAt Munich's Internet World Congress (IWK), Hiwave offers the speaker's lectures as PDF download via Bluetooth. Also visitors of mobile vision congress can access this free service. Already in the fourth year since our cooperation with Penton Media, downloads are offered using the Hiwave PULL method. In 2005, Hiwave was the first proximity marketing supplier to establish this procedure in Germany. Visitors or end-consumers send a keyword of the designated content as notice, or vCard to the location's hotspot via Bluetooth. Hiwave's HiSpot immediately sends the lecture back to the requesting device.

Red Bull Air Race worldwide with HiwaveBox Bluetooth transmittersRed Bull presents the famous Red Bull Air Race in 6 countries on 3 continents. Proximity Advertising for over 1 Million visitors at the world's biggest New Year's Eve PartyGoodyear, the boards of tourism of Canada and India, and Mobile Community 44044.com were the advertisers using Hiwave Bluetooth transmitters at the world's biggest New Year's Eve Party. Betweeen Brandenburger Tor and Siegessäule, 1 Million visitors had an all-night-party, beating even New York's Times Square party. 5 gigantic video walls made people pay attention to Bluetooth, within this 80.000 square meters large, and 2 kilometers long event area. 350 international TV and radio stations broadcasted from this gigantic event. Due to Hiwave Multithreading ® technology, the Bluetooth transmitters stable and steadily delivered videos, pictures, and links of the advertisers.
